August 7th -  X-Games X took place and the show was stolen by Takeshi Yasutoko who destroyed the ramp and took the gold with his first run. Takeshi who has been on and off the podium all year laced together a run that started off with 15ft high aris, followed by a Viking Flip straight into the first ever Double Viking Flip. He followed this with a 900 McTwist, switch 540, soul around the hip, alley acid, backslide to alley top soul and a 1080 McTwist! Everyone else was playing catch up including bi brother Eito who fell in his first run. In round two Marco DeSanti stepped up after falling in his first run lacing a flatspin straight to a  double flatspin, another flatspin over the hip, backsiding around the bowl and finishing with a double backflip. Eito, last years gold medalist took the last run and pulled together all of his big tricks, California Roll 1080, Double Backflip 180, Double Flatspin and Double Backflip but the judges only deemed it worthy of the bronze. Fourth place went to Shane Yost and fith to Taig Khris. Marc Englehart went for gold but fell on an attempt at a Double Flatspin and a 1440.
